Mercer County (1-0) won its baseball season opener over West Hancock (0-1) 10-0 in six innings Monday.
The Golden Eagles opened the scoring with two runs in the top of the first inning, added six runs in the fourth, and scored two more in the sixth.
Carson Boelens was the winning pitcher after allowing one hit and striking out eight batters in four scoreless innings.
