Monday’s Veterans Day message at the Mercer County VFW was delivered by Major Peter Hartje with the First Army USAR Support Command at the Rock Island Arsenal. He spoke with WRMJ following his remarks.
Major Hartje had two combat deployments in Iraq and Syria.
