Mercer County Seeking Public Input On Waste & Recycling Collection Tuesday

A public hearing is scheduled for this week regarding a county-wide solid waste and recycling plan update.

Every five years, every county in the state is expected to update its solid waste and recycling plan. Mercer County, along with Warren and McDonough Counties, are in the phase to update their plans.

The hearing will provide the public with an opportunity to review and comment on the regional solid waste and recycling process, current waste management practices, recycling opportunities, and future goals related to waste management in the local area.

Mercer County Administrator Al Zwilling says they are seeking public input.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday at the Mercer County Health Department at 4 p.m.
