Donna Mae Royer, 91 of Aledo, passed away Friday, June 12, 2026, at Mercer Manor Rehabilitation in Aledo. Cremation rites will be accorded, and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be left to the Alzheimer’s Association. Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo is in charge of the arrangements.
Donna was born on July 19, 1934, in Aledo, the daughter of Walter and Maxine Baker Dixon. She graduated from Reynolds High School in 1952. On March 18, 1956, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Bell. She later married Leo F. Royer on March 16, 1997, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He passed away on January 19, 2017.
Donna was a homemaker and also employed at Beltone in Davenport and Cedar Rapids for many years.
She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years. She also enjoyed dancing and golfing.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Brian Bell of Aledo and Teresa (Jay) Larson of Aledo; four grandchildren, Corey, Tyler, Sommer, and John; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Eugene and Steve Dixon. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
