The Mercer County School District has scheduled a public hearing and special board meeting on Tuesday as it plans to cut 25 staff members, including 10 teachers.
The public hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Mercer County Junior High music room, with a special board meeting to immediately follow.
The agenda for the public hearing includes a report on the reduction-in-force plan. The agenda for the special board meeting includes the “honorable dismissal of teachers, honorable dismissal of educational support personnel, and action on the dismissal of a first-year probationary teacher for reasons other than reduction in force.”
