Friday will be a remote learning day for all students in the Mercer County School District. The decision follows an employee at Mercer County Intermediate School and an employee at New Boston Elementary School testing positive for COVID-19 and also due to the growing number of positive cases in the Mercer County community and the number of Mercer County School District staff members required to quarantine under current IDPH guidance.
Lunch pickup will be available Friday from 10 a.m. to Noon. Please contact your building by 8:30 a.m. Friday morning if you plan on getting a Grab n Go lunch. Pickup will be available at all buildings except the high school.
Next Monday is a remote learning planning day with Tuesday being a holiday for Election Day. Students will return to the classroom next Wednesday, Nov. 4.
