The Mercer County Historical Society is holding its spring Open Meeting on Monday.
The presentation will be on the Cannon Bronze factory that was located in Keithsburg.
A.P. Cannon, an early Keithsburg resident, established the Cannon Oiler Company before the turn of the century, and it first produced the pump oil can for steam locomotives. In 1940, the plant was converted into a bronze factory, and its name was changed in 1952.
The meeting begins at the Essley-Noble Museum in Aledo at 7 p.m.
