The Mercer County Health Department is reporting an uptick in bats found in people’s homes locally.
In a release sent out earlier this week, the Health Department says if a bat is in your home, it needs to be captured. The Mercer County Health Department’s Kyle Lloyd says it’s important to avoid direct contact with bats.
Once it’s captured, people are asked to contact the Mercer County Health Department to be evaluated for exposure.
