Mercer County Cruises Past Galva For 14th Straight Win

Mercer County (23-6, 9-0 LTC) won its 14th straight game by beating Galva (8-19, 1-8 LTC), 63-35, Friday.

Galva held a 15-10 lead late in the first quarter. Mercer County then went on a 20-2 run to go up 30-17 and pulled away the rest of the night. The Golden Eagles led 32-20 at halftime and 48-28 heading to the fourth quarter. Mercer County’s largest lead was 31 points.

Lucas Collison, 20 points, and Colby Cox, 14 points, were each in double figures for the Golden Eagles.

Blake Stahl scored a game-high 22 points for the Wildcats in the loss.
