Sherrard junior Eli Matson threw a no-hitter and hit a home run to lead the Tigers to a 10-0 win over Erie-Prophetstown at home on Monday.
Matson struck out seven batters and walked two over six hitless innings. At the plate, he was 2-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Sherrard (6-16) plated three runs in the bottom of the first inning and led for the rest of the day. The Tigers added a run in the second and three more in both the fourth and sixth innings to end the game an inning early.
