Mercer County High School wins the Lincoln Trail Conference Scholastic Bowl Meet. The team took the title Saturday by defeating Princeville in the championship match 270-120. The Golden Eagles also scored wins over Galva, Cambridge, Wethersfield, ROWVA, and Annawan. Dominic Simpson, Trevor Kernan, and Logan Meehan were all named to the All-Tournament Team. The team’s record is now 23 and 8 on the season. The IHSA scholastic bowl postseason begins March 9.
