Kids Day is in full swing at the 2025 Mercer County Fair, and the grounds are buzzing with excitement, energy, and the sound of midway rides whirring to life. Wristbands are on, the sun is out, and local kids are making memories that will last all summer long.
Terry James from Farm Country 102.3 caught up with three young fairgoers—Vaughn Hank, Ethan Robinson, and Mason Robinson—who are diving into both the fun and responsibility that the fair offers. Vaughn is showing two crossbred pigs and will be in the ring for both the open and 4-H shows Thursday through Saturday. Ethan brought nine pigs and is also competing multiple days. Mason is showing a pig in the open show and lending a hand to his brother.
As for the rides, the Superslide, Scrambler, and Swings are some of the top picks among the kids. With bright smiles and even brighter futures, these young participants are showing off the best of what the Mercer County Fair has to offer—fun, family, and farm life.
The fair continues through the week with the 4-H Youth Livestock Auction Friday evening and plenty more chances to support local youth and enjoy the festivities.
