A Sherrard man facing two Class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child is having his case continued to next month.
59-year-old Arden Anderson appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Monday, where a motion hearing was set for June 9. The state motioned to allow hearsay statements last month.
Anderson was arrested by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies in September of 2024. He was denied pre-trial release and remains in the Mercer County Jail.
Both felony counts involve a victim under the age of 13.
