A June 23 jury trial remains scheduled for a New Boston man facing drug-induced homicide and methamphetamine delivery charges.
43-year-old Dale Robert Woodsmall appeared in Mercer County Circuit Court Monday, where his final pre-trial conference was set for June 16.
Woodsmall was arrested last July following a suspicious death investigation near Seaton that began last May, according to a Mercer County Sheriff’s Department media release. He’s facing a Class X felony of drug-induced homicide and two Class 2 felony counts of methamphetamine delivery.
Woodsmall remains in custody at the Mercer County Jail.
Illinois State Police, the Mercer County State’s Attorney’s office, Mercer County Coroner Greg Larson, the Peoria County Coroner’s office, and the Aledo Police Department assisted the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department with the investigation.
