John L. Fullerton, 70 of Crown Point, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, April 5, at Trinity Free Methodist Church, 8650 Grand Blvd., Merrillville, Indiana, with a dinner to follow. Graveside services are 11 a.m., Saturday, April 6, at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Free Methodist Church. Dennison Funeral Home, Aledo, Illinois is assisting the family.
John Lee was born March 21, 1954, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Curtis and Emily Chandler Fullerton. The 1972 graduate of Westmer High School went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University. John worked as a Certified Public Accountant in the Waterloo, Houston, and Chicago areas for many years. He was an active member of Trinity Free Methodist Church. In his younger days, he enjoyed going on cruises as well as annual fishing trips with his buddies.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Amelia Helm and Augusta (Rob) Woodley; nieces and nephews: Becky (Brett) Jones, RJ (Savannah) Woodley, and Rachel Helm; as well as several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
