The Illinois Softball Coaches Association (ICA) released its first in-season state rankings for 2025 Sunday.
Rockridge (5-1) and Sherrard (7-0) each are inside the Class 2A top 10. The Rockets earned the No. 5 spot, while the Tigers came in at No. 9 this week. Rockridge and Sherrard play Monday and Thursday this week.
Elsewhere locally, West Central (3-1) dropped from preseason No. 1 to No. 2 in this week’s Class 1A rankings.
