Hockenberry Returns To Court Next Month In Sex Abuse & Harrasment Case

Another court date has been scheduled for a Seaton man charged in separate sex abuse and harassment cases. 50-year-old Mark Hockenberry will return to Mercer County Circuit Court on May 8.

He was charged late last year with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in connection with allegations in 2020, 2021, and 2022 involving a female youth. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges.

Hockenberry has also been charged with harassment through electronic communication.

He posted ten percent $250,000 bond in the sex assault case and then posted another ten percent $40,000 bond in the harassment case.

The state has filed a motion to increase or revoke bond, but a ruling has not been made on that matter.
