The local IHSA golf season teed off on Thursday.
Mercer County traveled to Valley View in Cambridge for a boys and girls triangular meet with United and Ridgewood.
In the boys’ meet, Ridgewood shot 172 to come away with the win, finishing ahead of United (183) and Mercer County (191). Brendan Bolduc led the Spartans by earning medalist honors by shooting a 37.
In the girls’ meet, United (188) defeated Ridgewood (208) and Mercer County (219). The Red Storm’s Meredith Yung was the medalist with a score of 40.
