Aledo Girl Scouts Are Back With Annual Cookie Sale

Girl Scout Cookie Booths will pop up in Mercer County as the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois start their annual cookie campaign. Members of the Girl Scouts in Aledo visited the WRMJ Studios Friday morning.

Cookies will be for sale at the Aledo Walmart Sat., Feb. 24, and Sun., Feb. 25. At the beginning of the year, Girl Scouts began collecting customer orders and forecasting sales for the remainder of the 2024 cookie season. Shipments of Girl Scout Cookies have landed locally and, now, troops will begin delivering orders and selling cookies directly at booths outside stores and at community events.

Community members have two easy ways to find Girl Scout Cookies!

  1. To find a Girl Scout Cookie Booth near you, visit www.GirlScoutsToday.org/Cookies. Enter your zip code, and a list of nearby booths hosted by local Girl Scout Troops will appear with the date, time, and location.
  2. If you prefer to have Girl Scout Cookies shipped, visit www.GirlScoutsToday.org/Cookies. There will be a map with pins for the local Girl Scout Troops. Select a pin and follow the link to order your favorite cookies.

In 2024, local Girl Scouts will be selling the following cookie flavors for $6/package:

  • Thin Mints
  • Samoas
  • Adventurefuls
  • Tagalongs
  • Do-si-dos
  • Trefoils
  • Lemon-Ups
  • Girl Scout S’mores
  • Toffee-tastics (gluten-free)

All proceeds from Girl Scout Cookies stay local, supporting Girl Scout Troops, programs, and camps in your community. Girl Scouts do more than sell delicious treats – they’re entrepreneurial powerhouses creating a more equitable future for themselves and the world. Every box of cookies sold provides invaluable experiences for Girl Scouts, such as service projects, travel, and summer camp.
