Aledo Central Park’s annual Independence Day tradition is back in 2025.
The day starts on Friday with the Dr. Ford Memorial Frog Races from 9 to 10 a.m., with registration an hour before. Then the Mercer County Community Band will perform a patriotic-themed concert at noon.
Aledo Central Park Band Shell organizer Rusty Ruggles says it’s always a fun day.
The Aledo American Legion will be selling pork chops at the park Friday as well.
