Nominated by his daughter-in-law, Brittany Preston, Ralph has been farming since 1966 and says just about everything has changed in the past 60 years. From the equipment to the economics, he’s seen it all—and faced every change with steady determination and a love for the land.
When WRMJ’s Terry James surprised him with two $50 bills from the new CBI Bank & Trust ATM in Joy, Ralph chuckled and asked, “What is this?” A fitting reaction from a humble man who doesn’t seek attention—but certainly deserves it. We also had the pleasure of meeting two friendly pups outside Ralph’s farm, further proof that it’s a happy place with a big heart.
Ralph Preston is deeply respected by his neighbors and his community, known for his strength and decades of dedication. He truly is Farm Strong.
