Edward H. McIntyre, 61 of Aledo, died peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Arcadia Care at Toulon with his brother and sister-in-law at his side. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 13, at the Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family.
Edward Haines McIntyre was born on August 15, 1963, in Aledo, Illinois, to Roger Haines and Gayle Jean (Askew) McIntyre. He attended Aledo High School, where he excelled in Art. He especially liked to sketch. In later years, he enjoyed fishing and feeding the birds. He could often be found watching Westerns and True Crime stories on TV.
Edward is survived by his siblings, Jim and Jenifer McIntyre, Theresa Boughton, Edye and Kerry Beasley, and Chris and Craig Bishop, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Bobby Tennant.
