Mercer County used an 8-run 7th inning to put an exclamation mark on the game as they rolled over Riverdale 15-2 in high school baseball Wednesday. Sherrard blanked Ridgewood 10-0 and West Central slipped by North Fulton 8-7. In softball, Ridgewood held down the Sherrard offense in a 6-2 win. Orion nipped Fulton 6-5, Morrison steamrolled Galva 21-0, Knoxville handled El Paso-Gridley 9-4, and A-town stopped West Prairie 5-2.
At the Prairieland Conference Track Meet, Rockridge won the 7th Grade Girls title, Sherrard won the 8th Grade title, Orion won the 7th Grade Boys title, and Mercer County won the 8th Grade title.
