County Board Member Calls Meth ‘A Crisis In Mercer County’

A Mercer County Board Member calls the continuing trend of methamphetamine arrests a “crisis”.  Brian Anseeuw of New Windsor brought up the issue last night and asked Sheriff Dave Staley to provide a report on meth activity over the last several years. The information should be available at the February meeting.  Also last night, the Mercer County Board learned that the elevator has stopped working at the courthouse.  County board administrative consultant Bruce DeLashmit provided an update.

The county board also learned last night that three of five county highway trucks were recently down due to maintenance issues.
