Connie L. Freeman, 80 of Aledo, died Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Mercer Manor, Aledo. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 18, at Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Freeman Family. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family.
Connie Lynn was born on August 28, 1943, in Keithsburg to True Clinton and Pearl Mabel (Harris) Brown. She married Richard Lee Freeman in 1965. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1994.
Connie was a talented artist, especially with charcoal. She enjoyed playing cards with her sisters, playing billiards, and watching her beloved Chicago Cubs. But her true joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and spouses: Jamie and Lisa Freeman of Chatham, Illinois; Amy Freeman of Aledo, and Kim and Matthew Otto of Muscatine, Iowa; three grandchildren: Nikole, Zachary, and Olivia; three great-grandchildren: Maya, Landon, and Clyde; and sisters and brother-in-law: Jerry Nylin of Keithsburg and Marsha and Bill Loving of Aledo.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings: Dorothy Stieb, Leslie Brown, Fern Brock, Lilly Douglas, Clifford Brown, Donna Sedam, Jackie Brown, Shirley Litwiler, Bev Lair, Peanuts Vandevort, Deke Brown, Deanna Hoskins, Larry Brown, Janet Hill, and Ruth Dennison.
