Orion advanced to the Class 2A Hall Sectional championship with a straight game victory over Deer Creek-Mackinaw 25-14, 25-19. It was the Chargers 28th consecutive victory and it upped their record to 36-1. They will play El Paso-Gridley Wednesday night as the Titans beat Riverdale 25-19, 25-17. El Paso-Gridley is 29-5 on the season.
In Class 1A, Illini Bluffs stopped Princeville 25-17, 26-24 at the Kewanee Wethersfield Sectional. They will meet Elmwood for the title Wednesday. The Trojans beat Ottawa Marquette 12-25, 25-12, 25-15. At Pecatonica, Galena defeated Sterling Newman 25-17, 25-23 and Dakota beat Fulton 25-12, 25-27, 25-19. They will meet Wednesday night for that title.
