Bond Set At $1,000,000 For Taylor Ridge Woman Arrested In Residential Burglary Case

The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Department has released the identity of the woman arrested following a residential burglary complaint in rural Taylor Ridge. 34 year old Amber Summers of Taylor Ridge is being held on $1,000,000 bond charged with Class 1 felonies of residential burglary and disarming a peace officer and a Class X felony of aggravated discharge of a firearm involving a police officer. Class X felonies are punishable by 6-to-30 years in prison upon conviction. Summers was arrested Friday after a Rock Island County Sheriff’s Deputy chased her down on foot. During the struggle she attempted to disarm the officer causing a single shot to be fired from the duty weapon, according to a press release. No one of was injured.  A male suspect is also being sought in the case, but his name has not been released.
