Betty Lou was born on November 16, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Marvin W. and Irma (Wulff) Goldsmith. She married David W. Skinner on September 22, 1957, in Clarence, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2006.
Betty was a homemaker and full-time mother. After the children were grown, she worked part time at Morrison’s Greenhouse in Aledo. She and her husband, Dave, loved to dance and were especially talented with the jitterbug. Road trips and site seeing was a favorite pastime as well.
