A scheduling error has forced the postponement of the pre-trial hearing in Mercer County Circuit Court for Mark Artcher. Artcher was to appear before Judge Peter Church at 9 this morning. 14th Judicial Circuit Judge Walter Braud had assigned Judge Church to preside over the case. Judge Richard Zimmer was on the bench today and could not hear the case. The pre-trial hearing was rescheduled for this Thursday morning at 9. Artcher faces a Class X felony of criminal sexual abuse of a child and two Class 2 felonies of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Artcher has remained free on $100,000 bond.
