Annawan (22-5, 9-1 LTC) defeated Mercer County (13-13, 5-5 LTC), 53-27, on Senior Night at Mercer County High School Monday.
The Bravettes never trailed in the game. Annawan led 21-5 at the end of the first quarter and 32-7 at halftime. The biggest lead of the night for the Bravettes was 42-7 in the third.
Kaylee Celus led Annawan with 18 points. Zoey Vance, 17 points, and Olivia Goodley, 11 points, were also in double figures for the Bravettes, who are ranked #3 in this week’s IHSA girls basketball Associated Press 1A poll.
Mercer County committed 29 turnovers in the loss.
