An Aledo man in custody in Scott County after an early Thursday morning police chase through Bettendorf and Davenport. Police say they got a theft report at the Isle of Capri. A person who matched the suspect’s description was later seen getting out of a car as the driver sped off. Police say the driver hit an officer, but they stopped near River Drive and Bridge Avenue and were arrested. 24 year old Jonathan Cole Swearingen is facing six charges in the case including assault on an officer while displaying a weapon.
