The Aledo Central Park Band Shell is celebrating its 20th year this summer.
Summer entertainment at the band shell kicks off next weekend during Aledo’s Rhubarb Fest and runs through September. There are 23 unique acts scheduled for this summer.
Band Shell Organizer Rusty Ruggles has been a part of all 20 years.
A special 20th birthday for the Band Shell will be held on June 25 during a performance by the Mercer County Community Band, with cake and ice cream available.
All entertainment at the Aledo Central Park Band Shell is free for the public.
This is Ruggles’ final year as the organizer for the Band Shell.
