Aledo Awarded $3 Million In Grant Funding For Downtown Redevelopment

The City of Aledo has been awarded $3 million in state funding from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to complete capital improvements to Downtown Aledo. The grant funding was announced by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker Sunday. Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch explains the project the money will be used for.

 

 

Hagloch expects the project to be completed in 2024. Fifty communities in the state received the funding. Aledo is one of 16 communities to receive the maximum $3 million.
