Aledo Approves Infrastructure Bids For Sponsler Manor Residential Development Project

The City of Aledo is moving forward with its residential development plan at Sponsler Manor.

There are three phases to the project, with Phase 1 including the construction of 13 homes.

At last week’s city council meeting, the City of Aledo approved an agreement with Miller Trucking & Excavating for $690,170.09 for infrastructure work at the Sponsler Manor 4th Addition project.

Aledo City Administrator Mike Chausse says they were able to save more than $140,000 after re-opening the bidding process.

The city also approved a contract with Hutchinson Engineering in the amount of $75,000 for construction observation services as part of the project.

Chausse says he hopes the infrastructure can be completed by the summer and then offer the lots for sale.
