Norma Gullickson – Memorial Service 8/22/26

Norma Gullickson, 95 of Keithsburg, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at MercyOne Genesis Aledo Medical Center. The Ritual of the Order of the Eastern Star starts at 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 21, at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 21, at Fippinger’s. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 22, at Fippinger’s. Private interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Norma was born in Des Moines, IA, on July 5, 1931, to Floyd E. and Beryl V. (Duckett) Morley. She graduated from the University of Iowa, with a teaching degree. Norma taught for 29 years before retiring. Most of those years were at Westmer High School in Joy, Illinois. Norma married Caroll H. Gullickson on June 12, 1954. They had four daughters: Teresa (Darrell) Campbell of Murfreesboro, TN, Elizabeth (David) McKee of Lansing, IA, Jean (Daryl) Reed of Fayetteville, TN, and Gail Gullickson of Denver, CO.

Norma enjoyed cheering for the Hawkeyes, sewing, gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed entering her flowers and cookies in the Aledo fair. Norma looked forward to visits from her daughters and their families. Norma was a member of the Eastern Star Buffalo Prairie Chapter, as well as a member of the Mercer County Retired Teachers.

Norma is survived by her four daughters; six grandchildren, Phillip, Matthew (Miranda), and Daniel (Sara) Campbell, Jenna (Ryan) Speck, Katlin Palmer, and Andrew Gullickson; and ten great grandchildren, Brooks, Brantley, Maddux, Jack, Lizzie, JD, Hank, Brayden, Connor, and Kayleigh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Caroll in 2008; and her sister, Leanna in July.
