The 2026 Mercer County Fair kicks off with the Mercer County Fair Queen Pageant on Tuesday.
34 contestants have registered for the competition. There are 15 entrants in the Little Miss competition, 13 in the Junior Miss competition, and six entrants in the Miss Mercer County Fair Queen Pageant.
Pageant co-director Ledith Whitehall says there’s great county-wide participation this year.
Whitehall says there’s a lot that participants can take away from the experience.
The pageant begins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mercer County Fairgrounds in Aledo.
