In next week’s primary election, all three candidates running for Mercer County Sheriff are on the Republican ballot.
Casey Switzer and Clayton Brendal, both Mercer County sheriff’s deputies, and Thomas Smith, an Aledo Police Department officer, are running for the position.
Mercer County Sheriff Dusty Terrill is not seeking reelection.
All three spoke with WRMJ with one week until next Tuesday’s primary election.
