Phillip E. DeMarlie, 76 of Aledo, died Friday, March 6, 2026, at Arcadia Care of Aledo. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 13, at Reynolds Cemetery, Reynolds, Illinois. Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, is assisting the family.
Phillip Edwin DeMarlie was born on January 10, 1950, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Raymond and Claudia (Hampton) DeMarlie. He was a 1968 graduate of Rockridge High School and served his country in the National Guard. In earlier years, he owned and operated DeMarlie Feed and Grain in Reynolds before leaving to train racehorses in the Chicago area.
Phillip is survived by several brothers.
