Aledo City Council To Vote On Terminating LRS Contract Tuesday

The Aledo City Council will be voting on whether to terminate the city’s contract with Lakeshore Recycling (LRS) for waste collection services on Tuesday.

“Approving the termination of the contract between the City of Aledo and LRS” is on the agenda for Tuesday’s city council meeting.

The City of Aledo held a public hearing last week, where City Administrator Mike Chausse reported that the city has received over 600 complaints from residents about LRS’s service since January 2024.

Aledo Mayor Chris Hagloch says it’s been a frustrating process.

Three aldermen spoke in favor of terminating the contract at last week’s public hearing.
