The Mercer County Farm Bureau is joining forces with six other county farm bureaus to host a mental health event for women in agriculture next week.
The event is called “Strong Enough to Bend: Turning Breakdowns into Breakthroughs” and will feature Sow Hope Grow Hope Ag Mental Health Specialist Adrienne DeSutter as the guest speaker.
The event is designed for women in agriculture juggling careers, kids, and seeking a positive mindset, says Mercer County Farm Bureau Manager Jenna Preston.
The event is Thursday, Jan. 29 at the Black Hawk College East Campus in Galva at 6 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are requested by Jan. 23. To RVSP, contact your local county farm bureau.
The Mercer County Farm Bureau is co-sponsoring the event along with the Henry, Stark, Rock Island, Knox, Bureau, and Marshall-Putnam County Farm Bureaus.
