A benefit is being held for a Mercer County High School teacher and coach battling cancer this weekend.
Cheers on Main in Aledo is hosting a benefit for Aaron Heartt, who is an ag teacher and the girls golf coach at Mercer County High School, on Sunday. The benefit includes a dart tournament, raffle baskets, 50/50 tickets, and pulled pork sandwich meals, with the funds being donated to the Heartt family.
Kristina Snowdon, who played golf for Heartt and is now an assistant coach for him, is helping promote the event. She says it’s no surprise that people are stepping up to help.
The benefit starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Cheers on Main in Aledo.
