A new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) has been officially finalized for teachers in the Mercer County School District.

The Mercer County School District Board of Education approved the three-year agreement at Wednesday’s school board meeting after it was tentatively agreed to earlier this month following a second meeting with a mediator between the school district and the Mercer County Education Association.

The deal provides staff in the district with a 4% raise to the base salary in the first year of the deal and a 3.5% raise to the base salary in the second and third years of the agreement. It also increased coaching stipends in the district.

Mercer County Schools Superintendent Tim Farquer says it’s a fair deal for both sides.

The agreement runs through the 2027-28 school year.
