Clear The Clutter: Aledo’s Spring Clean-Up Day Is April 28th

The City of Aledo will hold its annual Spring Citywide Clean-Up on Monday, April 28, 2025. Residents are encouraged to place large household items at the curb no later than 4 a.m. on the day of collection. Each household is limited to one pickup truckload of items.

Several restrictions are in place for the clean-up. Items such as yard waste, brush, tree limbs, oils, automobile batteries, tires, and electronics—including televisions—will not be accepted. However, residents needing to dispose of appliances like refrigerators, stoves, washers, or dryers can schedule a special pickup year-round through Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS) for a $10 fee per appliance. Arrangements must be made in advance by calling or emailing LRS.

For electronics disposal, the City of Aledo continues to offer its E-Cycle program on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Residents can drop off electronics at the Street Division Garage between 9 a.m. and noon, and again from 12:30 to 3 p.m.
