David L. Cooper – Services 11/21/24

David L. Cooper, 85 of Benton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at Ray and Kay Ekstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 21, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann. Services and burial will be held at a later date in Aledo, with Speer Funeral Home, Aledo, assisting the family. David was born on October 29, 1939, in Aledo, Illinois, to Clyde Cooper and Gertrude Sproston Cooper. Known for his remarkable handy skills and creative talents, he spent countless hours restoring antique tractors. His active membership in the Purchase Area Antique Tractor Club highlighted his passion for antique tractors. He was a Cubs fan and enjoyed listening to their games. He was a member of Benton First Baptist Church.

David is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra Box Cooper of Benton; one daughter, Jody Holm (William) of Paducah; one son, Michael Cooper (Melanie) of Jasper, Georgia; one brother, Leonard Cooper of Galesburg, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Randal Cooper; two sisters, Francis Franks and Florence Reddick; one brother, John Cooper; and his parents, Clyde Cooper and Gertrude Sproston Cooper.
