There were 95 last year, 84 in 2022, 73 in 2021, 83 in 2020, and 87 in 2019.
Looking at the numbers in other area counties over the past five years. There have been 516 crashes involving deer in Henderson; 918 in Henry; 757 in Knox; 1,315 in Rock Island; and 539 in Warren.
Statewide, there have been 74,225 deer/vehicle collisions over the last five years including 14,862 in 2023.
