Rockridge senior OL/DL Jude Finch was named to the Class 2A all-state team, the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) announced Wednesday.
Finch started along the Rockets’ defensive line for three seasons and took over as the team’s center during his senior year. He was a first-team all-TRAC selection on defense last season.
Finch is also the IHSA 1A 132-pound defending state champion in wrestling.
Rockridge senior OL/LB Landon Bull and sophomore QB Cullen Schwigen were honorable mention all-state selections.
Sherrard junior QB/DB Carter Brown (3A) and Orion junior QB Kale Filler (2A) also earned honorable mention all-state recognition.
Other TRAC players to receive first-team all-state honors were Newman RB/LB Daniel Kelly (1A), Princeton TE/DB Noah LaPorte and OL/DL Cade Odell (3A), Monmouth-Roseville RB/DB Payton Thompson (3A), and Kewanee RB/LB Alex Duarte (4A).
