Marilyn Lafever, 88 of Muscatine, IA, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Lutheran Living in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine. Following the services, burial will be held in Drury Reyolds Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, October 23, at the funeral home. Marilyn Louise Feldman was born on January 1, 1936, in Muscatine, the daughter of Walter and Laura (Dungan) Feldman. On August 31, 1958, she was united in marriage to Joe Lafever. Marilyn worked as a nurse for many years. After her retirement, she was a member of the Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling for cattle shows and sales and life on the farm with her husband. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by her sons, Matt (Dee) Lafever and Jim (Briana) Lafever, both of Joy, IL; grandchildren, Barry (Alison) Lafever, Jacob Lafever, and Logan (Brittany) Lafever; great-grandson, Kade; sisters, Janet Kistler of Muscatine and Diane (Doug) Hessman of Illinois City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Keith and Glenn Feldman.
