Terrance Randall was born June 5, 1952, in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Dick and Darlene Smith Bewley. The 1970 graduate of Aledo High School went on to marry Phyllis Sipes on August 11, 1972. He served in the Army National Guard from 1971-1977. Terry had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and Deane Frye Construction, as well as being a Carpenters Local 166 journeyman carpenter with various contractors…mainly with Arsenal projects and Friendship Manor. In 1997, Terry started working for Aledo High School, later Mercer County High School. He took great pride in the football field, softball diamond, and beauty of the school grounds.

Terry served 12 years as an Aledo City Alderman, coached summer league baseball for many years, and was a member of the Aledo Masonic Lodge.

He was known for his smart remarks to his friends (who knew they were expressions of love). His quick wit was such that no one could be sad around him for very long. His infectious laugh will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Bewley; children, Jesse (Marci) Bewley and Amanda (Bryan) Martyn; grandchildren, Jacob Lee and Emma Mae; and brothers, Ronald (Jill) Bewley and Edward Bewley.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
