Sherrard (14-3, 5-0 TRAC West) beat Newman (4-7, 1-2 TRAC East) in softball Friday, 5-4.
Kaylee Faccio drove in the game-winning run for the Tigers in the top of the fifth inning to break a 4-4 tie. Nadia Anderson had 2 RBI in the win and Tessa Driessens knocked in a run for Sherrard.
Savanah Hauger (9-1) took the win in the pitchers circle, allowing four runs, one earned run, in seven innings.
The Tigers have won seven games in a row.
