Sherrard (12-1, 4-0 TRAC West) swept Hall (7-6, 3-1 TRAC East) in a baseball doubleheader Saturday at the Joel Brunsvold Complex.
The Tigers won the first game, 8-6. Sherrard trailed, 3-0, early but scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and added six more runs in the fifth inning to pull away. Holland Anderson was the winning pitcher. He allowed four runs in six innings. Cam Davis, Cooper Thomas, and Aiden Switzer all had 2 RBI in game one for Sherrard.
Sherrard won the second game in five innings, 18-8. Hall led, 6-5, through three innings. The Tigers then scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth and added seven more runs in the bottom of the fifth to win the game. Jacob Fratzke was the winning pitcher for Sherrard in relief. Garrett Woodward was 2-3 with a home run and 3 RBI. Maddux Harksen and Payton German both drove in four runs in game two for the Tigers.
